The many bars and restaurants in the centre provide international cuisine and a variety of entertainment. Also there are many commercial centres located in the various surround urbanisations.
Crazy golf can be played in the grounds of a local bar.
On the outskirts of Quesada town centre there is an Aqua Park which opens 1st June to September and has water slides, gentle slides, kamikaze, children’s pool, large swimming pool, free sun beds and parasols, restaurant, cafeteria, lawn, picnic areas and lots of parking etc.
The country club offers a swimming pool with sunbathing areas, various activities e.g. snooker/pool, outdoor bowls. The restaurant provides good food and there is evening entertainment such as Tribute Acts in The Club
A short drive takes you to the impressive La Marquesa 18 Hole Golf Course set in the valley and surrounded by hills and villas. It has it’s own golf club, driving range and putting green. The local hotel over looks the golf course and can offer a restaurant, gym, crazy golf and indoor bowling. There is a variety of international eating places and bars located around the golf course. Some of the bars have stunning views of the golf course and surrounding hills.
The natural park with the salt lakes of La Mata, now a protected area is a haven for various birds and the salt lake of Torrevieja where you can take a mud bath and see how this salt lakes changes to a pink colour during the day.
For beach lovers, the nearby towns of Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja and La Mata can provide all that is needed.
Guardamar in particular has miles of clean sandy beaches, marina, various parks one in particular has turtles, peacocks and you may even see a squirrel. Early evening there is a craft market and small fairground in the summer months.
Torrevieja has smaller coves, beaches, large marina, good shopping, fairground and street craft market, parks and museums, large aquapark etc. The shopping centre of Haberneras and Hypermarket Carrefore are on the outskirts of Torrevieja. Torrevieja has a good night life scene with various Night Clubs open until the early hours of the morning.
The Spanish village of Rojales is a well worth a visit, the stone bridge in the centre and the waterwheel over the river Segura are quite historical. There are crosses on top of a hill, cave houses which were dug into the hillside during the 19th Century and are now the location of a craft market and also the Shell House which is a tribute to another man’s incredible patience.
All the nearby Spanish Villages hold various Fiestas throughout the year.
There is a safari park between Elche and Santa Pola and is about 15mins drive away. There are various animals there and shows. There is also a swimming pool with slide and go-karts.
There is a go-kart track just on the outskirts of Guardamar on the N332 heading toward Alicante from Guardamar.
